Missing Persons Investigation
May 1- 31st
This is a brand new class for those involved in the field of missing persons or those interested in learning about this field. This is NOT an intuition class but a class on how to conduct a missing person investigation. Pam will share what she has learned after working several cases a year for the past 16 years and holding a private investigator's license for seven. Class will require minimal daily participation by reading the lessons posted each day and asking questions and entering online discussions when applicable. An ebook will be created from the content of this course.
We cover a lot in this class such as the emotional and ethical demands of working in missing persons. The class will be divided into halves with the first half covering the techniques and tips for searching for live persons, including fugatives. The second half will discuss the tools and techniques for approaching a case in which the missing person is presumed dead. Instruction will be given on the proper way to handle family and friends of a missing person.
Areas covered will also include, working with the various tools available such as dogs, divers, trackers, psychics, internet tools, social media, equipment and non-profit resources.
